
"Music & History Grade 11/12 Credit Course". Poland and Central Europe.
3 - tygodniowy program "Music & History Grade 11/12 Credit Course" rozpocznie sie 4 lipca 2012 roku w Krakowie, gdzie kanadyjscy studenci będą brali udział przez dwa tygodnie:
- w wykładach z zakresu doskonalenia gry na instrumentach, śpiewu, historii muzyki, historii sztuki i historii drugiej wojny światowej. W programie nauczania jest zawarte zwiedzanie muzeów i galerii oraz zabytków Krakowa.
Planowane są wyjazdy turystyczne do Oświęcimia, Wieliczki, Zakopanego, Ojcowa, Niepołomic, Szczawnicy (spływ Dunajcem) i wiele innych ,nie mniej atrakcyjnych wycieczek.
Program "Music & History Grade 11/12 Credit Course" zakończy tygodniowa tura koncertowa połączona ze zwiedzaniem zabytków i atrakcji turystycznych Wiednia(Austria), Pragi(Czechy), Budapesztu (Węgry), Popradu (Słowacja) i ponownie Krakowa.
Serdecznie zapraszamy młodzież polonijną wraz z ich kanadyjskimi przyjaciółmi do udziału w tym bardzo atrakcyjnym, nowo powstałym programie kredytowym.
Uczestnikami tego programu może być młodzież uczęszczająca obecnie (Grade 10/11/12) do szkol katolickich, świeckich publicznych i prywatnych.
Jest to program zatwierdzony przez Ontaryjskie Ministerstwo Edukacji.
Organizatorem i realizatorem programu przy współpracy Konsulatu RP w Toronto jest Toronto Catholic District School Board. Ilość miejsc jest ograniczona.
Spotkania informacyjne dla rodziców i młodzieży odbędą się:
- 15 Listopada 2011 o godzinie 19.00 w Michael Power C.S.S.(Auditorium) - Najblizszy wtorek
- 23 Listopada w Bishop Marrocco-Thomas Merton (Music Room) rowniez o godzinie 19.00.

Leaving July 4, returning July 27, 2012, students will earn a grade 11 or 12 History/Music credit touring Krakow ( Poland), Prague (Czech Republic), Vienna (Austria), Budapest ( Hungary) & Poprad (Slovakia).
An exciting 24 day journey through history, time & 5 countries, experiencing Medieval & Gothic Castles, Rafting in the Dunajec Gorge, 14 Century Cathedrals, the world renown Wieliczka Salt Mine, the brutal reality of Auschwitz, Thermal pools in the Tatra Mountains & much, much more.

With regard to the 'credit' - it's the IDC30 (Grade 11) and IDC4U (Grade 12).
The Ontario Ministry of Education allows a 'combination' of subjects to make up an the credit with 90 hours of 'instruction' (30 hours of instructions here in Toronto, then 26 full days, 'hands on', in Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary). Presently, it's MUSIC / HISTORY - the ideal concert tour (vocal included) through the 5 countries!

Overseas Credit Course in Poland CATCH THE VIBE !
This TCDSB/POLAND agreement opens the door to a unique opportunity for students.
Leaving on July 4, and returning on July 27, 2012, 40 students will be able to earn a Music/History credit as they experience Krakow, Poland and Central Europe - Prague (Czech Republic), Vienna (Austria), Budapest ( Hungary) and Poprad (Slovakia).
July 5 to 20, from their base at the prestigious Music Academy of Krakow (est. Feb. 1888), students will live and breathe the magnificent, historical, �college town atmosphere� that is Krakow. Quote from travel section of Toronto Star, Oct. 13, 2011 �Polish city is turning heads with a newfound exuberance and a wonderful city vibe.�
From July 20 -27 th, this unique adventure will continue - touring through Prague, Vienna, Budapest and Poprad before boarding their plane July 30 to return to Toronto
Medieval and Gothic Castles, 14 Century Cathedrals, world renown, impressive Wieliczka Salt Mine, an Astronomical Observatory, Rafting in the Dunajec Gorge, the brutal reality of Auschwitz-the biggest Nazi concentration camp in Europe, Thermal pools in the Tatra Mountains are just some the things students will encounter, in a packed full 26 day journey through history, time and 5 countries!

Partnership Agreement Signed in September 2011
The Toronto Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce a partnership agreement with the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland, which will allow students to earn an Ontario Ministry of Education Credit Course delivered in the Republic of Poland.
The agreement was signed in September 2011.
Students will travel to Poland in the summer of 2012 to be taught credit courses taught by TCDSB employed certified teachers. Students will have the opportunity to earn credits while also experiencing Polish culture and language.
The Board is pleased to participate in this partnership that will strengthen the ties between the people of Poland and the people of Canada.
